First, scan the patient wearing a radiographic guide(denture duplicate) with radio-opaque markers and a bite index. Next, secure the radiographic guide and scan on top of a sponge or Styrofoam-like material for stability.
This method is recommended for fully edentulous patients with little or no teeth support.
An anchor guide must be used for fully edentulous cases to properly align the surgical template within the patient’s mouth.
The anchor guide is used to establish the anchoring position of the surgical template to ensure accurate placement as planned and is in the shape of the radiographic guide with anchor pins. The anchor guide is used with the bite index to secure the location of the guide within the patient’s oral cavity.

The stone model* method should be used for single implant and partially edentulous cases.
First, scan the patient with an open bite by securing the bite with cotton pads. Next, fabricate a stone model of the patient, secure the stone model and scan. You can also mail in the stone model and have it scanned by one of our technicians.
*Fuji rock or equivalent is recommended for stone model.
For partially edentulous cases, a stone model is used and the In2Guide Stone Model Method must be followed at all times.
In2Guide may require a calibration process to accurately determine the appropriate threshold (density) setting for your CBCT unit.
